I absolutely loved this place. The food was delicious, freshly prepared and really tasty. The service was great, good quality/price and nice atmosphere. I totally recommend it!
Large range of Japanese food selections. You can always find something you like. Very good price match to the food standard. However, the service is the only weakness. (all of their staff seems rather too serious when they work. ) They’re doing their job all right, but not surprising restaurant your day off here. I like the young girl who served us even she is not amazing at service. (much sweeter than others. ) Therefore it’s a 5-star recommendation! 
If you’re looking for a Japanese restaurant in York that has a huge variety of dishes to choose from, Ipfu is definitely the place to go. The staffs here are all very friendly and helpful, and if you’re having a pot of tea, they’d ask if you need a refill (for free). The dishes are in good portions, especially the soup noodles – ramen, udon, and soba to choose from.

Excellent service, even though it was starting to get busy with lunch time rush, staff were very helpful and friendly. Food is no longer collect from the conveyor due to covid, but order via a QR code, even though the app wasn’t working properly, order went through and made fresh to order. Highly recommended
Food is excellent, staff is friendly and welcoming. I must say the chef is very participative, communicative and cheerful with the customers. I step into nearly 1pm but I was told the place was fully booked, they offered me to come back at 2pm but I decided to go back at 4pm. I ordered a green tea, it was so refreshing and delicious and I ordered three kind of sushi, two of them with salmon.
Went there for lunch yesterday. We don’t have sushi very often so every time we do we try sth new. This time it was the Yo Mix and the shiitake mushrooms ramen. Both were nice but not my favourite. The place needs a bit of atmosphere as well.

The owner was heartwarming. Not to mention the food was tasted fantastic. Stayed in York for two nights and we came to have lunch twice! Their Takoyaki is a must-try item! Delicious 😍

Falled in love with it after reading information on the desk near the entrance. While I was eating women gives me water and sauce. I feel like I’m on granny’s house lunch😃 Also I tell you that this place is suits for travellers beacuse they accept cash payment.
We were wandering the streets of York and came across this little gem and had to try it out 🤤 Food is outstanding and I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting Japanese food in York 😊
