Had a delicious meal here recently! Everything was really tasty and reasonably priced (except for the tzatziki which I think is a little over priced for the portion). We had the sesame feta, courgette fritters and tzatziki for starter. And lamb chops for mains. Fantastic service too! Will definitely be returning.
Nice food but the main dish wasn’t what we expected, Chicken Yeeros Merides was very thin bits of chicken /skin which tasted very fatty with little triangles of pitta bread, i thought Yeeros /Gyros was wrapped in a pitta bread. It was a nice restaurant but may be try a traditional dish next time.
Called in on a Wednesday could not be more impressed. Nick the owner was a real star not to mention the amazing mushroom starter and flame grilled lamb jobs. Well worth a visit 5 star.

Loved it! It’s the first time in a very long time that I have managed to sit down and enjoy the space around me. The room is small but there are only five tables which allows for loads of room to sit down and enjoy the delicious food! The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. The menu is limited but every dish was well presented and tasted like heaven ! Needless to say…. We will be going back
Great little find. Quite a small restaurant but great ambience. Very speedy service and good quality food. Good mixture and selection of Mediterranean food.
An absolute must if you are in York. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the food was so good it made us feel like we were on holiday! The ambiance and overall feel of the place was delightful. We will definitely be coming back

Excellent food for a special occasion lunch, a varied menu with a Mediterranean focus. The service was friendly and efficient, food nicely presented. I had halibut which was perfectly cooked and presented in an unfussy way with roasted vegetables which were done just right – not greasy! I will return 
Quick and friendly service, we booked for 5:30pm but 4 parties walked straight in without bookings. The portion sizes are really good. The chicken and chorizo paella was gorgeous and they offered to take the rest away when we could only finish half of it.
We visited the Olive Tree tonight and could not have faulted the service. The food was delicious, service good and we would highly recommend. We are staying in York for 4 nights and planned to visit a different restaurant each night, but have decided to book here again for Saturday. The menu was diverse, with lots of options and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the mixed grill. Overall we had a very nice evening with good food.
