The hall was built in 1516, and is still original. It’s an amazing venue in York for weddings, conferences and various exhibition activities.
We choose merchant Taylors for our wedding on the 28th September 2019 x fell in love with the place x the old oak beams etc x from the clerk to the caterers I can not recommend them enough x they were all brilliant xxxxxx wudnt choose any other venue for our wedding xxxxx the main window is just beautiful x love everyone connected with the hall
A very good, welcoming venue steeped in history. Good catering with very good bar and facilities. Third year attending a Christmas Luncheon and always enjoy.

My partner and I have been attending these festivals for a few years now and we’ve never been disappointed. They are well-organised, highly entertaining, and lots of fun. They are fantastic events for those who would like to spend a whole afternoon or evening in the company of like-minded whisky-lovers and would like to taste whiskies that they would otherwise never see or notice.
Organised a private tasting event with The Whisky Lounge. Eddie picked a great selection of whiskeys to suit both the experienced whiskey drinkers in the group and the novices. Martin from the Manchester Whiskey Club did the tasting and gave us a good understanding of each Whisky and created a fun and unique experience for us. Would really recommend a private event with the whisky lounge.

3rd year attending as a group and have enjoyed them all.

Great little venue. The right size to feel engaged with the acts. Went to see The Ukrainians as a first time visitor, but I’m sure I’ll be back.
Amazing little venue in York. When small venues are closing left right and centre this place is a beacon for small bands and it’s a thoroughly nice place to be. Easy to walk to from the station. Nice ipas and lagers on tap and loads of room to jump around to bands.
An excellent gig venue, and a pretty great bar. I’ve had the joy of returning this week to see two excellent artists. Nice range of beers, pool room and DJ desk along with the main stage room.
