What We Offer:

York is one of our favourite northern getaways. And our home in this noble city is just a 10-minute walk from York Minster (the most uttered word on sight of which is ‘wow’). The building is a Grade II Listed Regency townhouse of stately proportions and head-turningly good looks. It has huge, dreamy sash windows, higher-than-high ceilings, a sweeping central staircase, and ivy around the door. Its grand-but-friendly face is full of charm, and inside you’ll find pantries stocked full of treats for the taking, great restaurant food throughout the day, delicious drinks from the bar, a spa centred on bespoke therapies, and a straight-from-the-heart welcome.

Excellent stay. Lovely hotel close to the heart of the city. The staff were exceptional with special thanks to Yasmin on the front desk and Rob on the bar. Both excellent as well as the other staff.

Fantastic hotel close to the centre of York. Cannot recommend it highly enough, staff were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. Dog friendly which is great for our pup ‘Sonny’ who quickly became a staff favourite.

The most friendly and caring staff I have EVER met! Everyone who worked there was so warm and welcoming, making us feel like the genuinely cared about giving us the best stay they could.

Beautiful small boutique hotel with the best staff you could wish for, each and every one of them. Nothing too much trouble. Always smiling, helpful and prepared to go beyond their duties. Clean, smart and the small details which make the difference.

This is a hidden gem! The best location in York with a large number of top class eateries, pubs etc. within a couple of minutes walk and a few minutes walk to the Shambles and Minster. Greeted with a smile at the door and staff could not do enough for us. Beautiful elegantly decorated rooms and a cozy lounge with a log fire.

Good central location. Room was a little smaller than images suggested, but adequate. No air-con made the room very stuffy, not sure I’d enjoy it in the middle of summer. Can’t comment on service as there was no bar, breakfast service

Lovely hotel, Amazing staff, great location, the venue itself is amazing, my only issue was because although the bedding was clean etc the bed itself i found was personally uncomfortable, to the point where i only got about 5/7 hours sleep 
Located in the heart of the city. This quirky, Court room themed hotel is really well presented. My room was very clean, well equipped and tidy. The staff were really helpful and polite. I’d definitely look to stay here again the next time I’m in York.
