I have never liked exercising and never stuck at it. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was giving this a go and I have stuck at it and most importantly, I actually love it! The whole team are all brilliant and very welcoming. The classes are fun and challenging. I feel fitter and more confident. I can’t recommend this highly enough! Everyone can and should do it.
Their is also a real community in class and when I struggled with one of the combinations the other members around me didn’t hesitate to offer advice on the best way to do it, this is instilled in every member attending and I am so glad to be part of this Martial Arts School.

My name is Oliver Lovell and I’m the head instructor responsible for Gracie Barra Wakefield, as well, our schools in Barnsley, York and Horsforth. Very early in life I discovered Jiu-Jitsu and I devoted all my life to this sport since then. I want to give people the opportunity that Gracie barra has given me, so I’m gonna try to give back to the people and inspire them the way I’ve been inspired. Our 16 weeks beginners program is designed to take people from no martial arts or fitness experience to our advanced program. One of the most common reasons we have found people take up Jiu-Jitsu is an alternative method to gain fitness in a fun and controlled environment.
